Please call me....
Steph. I prefer it over Stephanie. But if calling me Stephanie makes you happy, then knock yourself out! ;) I am also known as Stephy, Ketty, Stephy-poo(hence my blog name), and more recently Stephy-poo-poo (as if I don't have enough 'shit' associated with me already!).
You may feel free to call me any of these names at any time, but please don't be offended if I do not respond to you immediately should you choose use Stephy-poo-poo very loudly in a crowded environment. I would like to retain some form of dignity.

Why don't I like the name Stephanie? It's not that I don't like it, but it's really hard to say. As a child, I lived with my grandparents and it was really difficult for me to hear/watch my grandma struggle to say my name: See-taf-foo-nee. It was like a train-wreck crashing into my ear-drums. Since then, I've never really liked my name until the TV show Full House came along and one of the main characters was name Stephanie too. I remember in one episode she wanted to change her name to Dawn, then kids at school started to call her Donald Duck. So like the character in the show, I started to think that maybe Stephanie wasn't such a bad name. But I still prefer Steph.

just so you know, in that same episode, she was then dubbed "step-on-me" which caused her to turn to "dawn-ald duck" haha.
